South Jordan City has partnered with a leading resuscitation manufacturer, ZOLL Medical Corporation, to provide discount pricing on Automated External Defibrillators (AED) and related equipment to residents, businesses, and others within South Jordan City.
After careful consideration, in August of 2008, South Jordan City entered into a formal contract with ZOLL Medical Corporation to purchase AEDs, heart monitors, external cardiac support pumps and other related resuscitation equipment for use by the City. The contract also allows residents, businesses, and others located within South Jordan City to purchase AEDs and related equipment directly from ZOLL Medical Corporation at the same price as South Jordan City. Contract prices are firm through August 10, 2013.
When a cardiac arrest occurs, the fact is only about half of the victims will need a shock from a defibrillator. However, generally they all need CPR.
