The South Jordan Fire Department encourages all members of the community to conduct a “do it yourself” Home Safety Evaluation using the downloadable form available on the website. The South Jordan Fire Department may also be available for in home safety evaluations where fire department personnel come to your home and assist you in completing a Home Safety Evaluation.
Your firefighters are involved in many other activities during their shift, therefore it is important that you adhere to the following guidelines when scheduling a home safety evaluation.
- Home Safety Evaluations are limited to South Jordan City residents. Individuals and/or organizations who reside outside of South Jordan City are encouraged to use South Jordan Fire Department's "do it yourself" downloadable Home Safety Evaluation.
- Home Safety Evaluations should generally be scheduled at least 14 days in advance.
- As scheduling allows, Evaluations may be conducted between the hours of 10:00 am - 7:00 pm Monday - Sunday.
Confirmation of your evaluation date and time will be sent to you via email within five (5) business days of submitting the request. If you do not receive confirmation or have additional questions, please contact the Fire Department at (801) 254-0948. Please remember that due to the nature of emergency services, evaluations are subject to last minute cancellation.
