First Due Area
Includes the area from 2700 West to Highway U111 and 9800 South to 11800 South. This area is primarily made up of medium to large single-family homes with a few pockets of multi-family dwellings and several commercial areas including the District at South Jordan.

Front Line Apparatus

	Engine 62 2007 Pierce, 2000 GPM pump that holds 500 gallons. This unit carries a variety of fire suppression, EMT-Intermediate, extrication and other technical rescue equipment. It has a 15 foot roof mounted multi-directional light tower and pre-plumbed extrication in the front bumper.
	Medic Ambulance 62 2002 Wheeled Coach Type I Ambulance with Advanced Life Support Capabilities.
	Heavy Rescue 62 2006 Freightliner M112 Tractor and a 2007 Custom Hackney 40' Heavy Rescue Trailer. The trailer contains a comprehensive cache of equipment for structural collapse, machinery/heavy extrication, and rope, confined space, trench, water and ice rescue.

Note: The decrease in responses for Medic Ambulance 62 is due to a change in the number of ambulances dispatched on fire related calls. Prior to FY2006-07 both ambulances were dispatched on all structure fires and one ambulance was dispatched on other fire related calls. In 2006, the ambulance was eliminated from the first alarm assignment on many fire related calls and only one ambulance is now included in the initial alarm for structure fires.
